its very similar to 3rd i only skimmed the rule books and i mean like a sentance a page (i dont realy read much lol) and i was able to make a char by hand combat works like wow in the role sense. and insted or reg attack you have fancey ones you can do. you will have no trouble getting it but it does make alot more sense after a combat or two. every thing fits before then but doesnt make much sense till you use it. ok im done posting i need to sleep. im in a typing mood though if you couldnt tell. lol

with a consttant insider subscription there is no need to buy hard copies of any 4e book. the char builder up dates every month withh all char making relevant material released that month. you get dungeon and dragon magazine every month a digital copy but you can dl the whole thing for your own arciveing. they got the compendium witch has every thing in every book put out updated each month monsters gear rules the whole shabang. and the adventure tools the only part of the dm tools out so far is the monster builder you can make modify and share monsters it also gets updated every month. its well worth the money if you planon playing 4e if you dont then it would be a waist sense it has no use out side of it. ive bean paying for it sense december and havent used it at all because i havent played or run any thing. but in about 2 hours i preped for about 4-6 hours of game play thats with righting every thing down like a modual. i still think having the books is good for refrencing and stuff i also find it easier to read up on stuff from the book format. the insider makes it easy to only buy the specific books that you will use cause if some one else want the other book they can lookit up on your comp. your alowed to have 5 downloads of each char builder and adventure tool a mounth so if you got 4 other ppl you know will get use out of it they can split the cost of it jamie does that with me he gives me like $10 or $15 bux when i need to renew it and i make sure he gets his updates before any one else. but yeah its good if your gona play 4e makes things alot easier and quiker on the DMing and player sides of it.

How do you like the insider so far? Does it have alot of usefull materials, articles and gaming rules? does it replace the need for a PHB or DMG, does it have monster stats and encounter generators? is it worth the $71 a year?

This is going to be a 4e D&D game. I got the insider so i have all the wizards aproved material and it will be up dated each month. so prety much every thing thats out for 4e is fair game. the game is starting at lvl 1 sense it will be easier for every one. If you arent familiar with 4e and want to give it a go and live near me (im in Northbridge MA) i will be willing to get a little thing started in person to get you started. i of course have the char builder which makes char creation a breeze even for newbies. combat runns prety close to 3e and char creation is only slightly differant. If your well versed in 3e and or WOW it wont be hard to catch on to. Its prety much D&D meets the dungeon style combat of WOW. Any questions feel free to post it in here. when makeing your chars just post the powers name not what it does i will look that up on my own other wise the chars will take a whole page on their own. If you can bulit the info that would be fine.
